Ford Escort Rs Turbo Tuning

The Ford Escort series 1 and 2 Rs Turbo’s really are still a fabulous car to tune and we still see these cars every month for one thing or another.

Whilst we don’t offer a huge amount of products for them, we do still supply chips and management setups for them, and because we fully understand all aspects of the quirky Bosch KE Jetronic system, we are in a position to make your poor running and idling Rs turbo run well again, so book her in for a setup now.

Ford Escort Rs Turbo Tuning.

This is a same day service and can be performed while you wait.
Approx time to complete is 4 hours.

By reprogramming the engine management system to allow more boost pressure, and safer timing, we can carefully raise the Boost pressure to 15 psi & gain a very substantial increase in power and torque. Maximum power of 180 Bhp is now produced. To achieve this we use our own chip and a new Garrett waste gate actuator that is much stronger than the original item.

The whole system is setup and checked to ensure everything is working as it should before we ask more power of it, then the finished conversion is tested and fine tuned for maximum performance on our rolling road.
This conversion costs £400.00 inc vat fitted.

 

This is a same day service and can be performed while you wait.
Approx time to complete is 8 hours

All parts and work as for stage 1 are fitted and then further modifications are made to the fuel delivery / boost system. A larger front mounted Airtec air/air intercooler and cooling fans are fitted along with Denso Iridium IK27 spark plugs. A new performance camshaft, valve springs and hydraulic followers are also installed. If necessary a new fuel filter and free flow air filter are always fitted with this conversion (At extra cost).

Boost pressure can then safely be raised to 18 psi and the result is 200Bhp and around 185 lbs.ft of torque when the vehicle is finally tuned on the dyno.

This conversion costs £1800.00 inc vat fitted.
(We would also strongly suggest an oil and filter change while you are here to ensure the best life for your new valvetrain - prices vary depending on quality of oil used. Ask for prices)

These conversions require you to sit down with us over a coffee and discuss your particular requirements, the use your car will be put to and what you expect from the vehicle.
