Ford RS Cosworth Tuning Packages.

The Cosworth engine inside your vehicles engine bay is truly a legend within automotive history. The good news is that with over 20 years experience in tuning this engine, we can offer you a number of well refined tuning packages. We can tailor the chip fitted to your ECU to ensure all modifications are accommodated for and the vehicle runs as well as it possibly can.

Our tuning packages go right up to in excess of 700 BHP but as I am sure you can appreciate this is a conversion carried our rarely and is so bespoke it simply cannot be printed on paper as every owner and car will vary in their requirements so we have opted to print only the most common conversions we offer in house up to and including our 380BHP drive in drive out package.

Ford RS Cosworth Tuning Packages

All the conversions below assume the car to already have:

  • A High Quality Free Flow Exhaust.
  • A High Quality Free Flow Air Filter.

If your vehicle does not have these then we can of course supply and fit both of these items at additional cost.

270-290bhp* Package £295 inc. VAT & Fitting
This package enhances the vehicle driving experience greatly, with the same response as a standard car but a far stronger power band in the mid range. This is reaching the safe limits of the standard injectors and MAP sensor. Runs a 17psi peak, 15psi held boost pressure on a standard T3 turbocharger.

The package includes the supply and fitment of:

  • 270bhp Evolution Chip
  • -31 Actuator
  • Full Setup Including Fuel, Boost & Detonation
    Check Under Load

*270-280 BHP On Sierra Cosworth's. 290BHP on Escort Cosworth's

320bhp Package £650 inc. VAT & Fitting. (Sierras With T3 Turbo Only)
This package enhances the Cosworth powered vehicle even further with the fitment of larger fuel injectors (Bosch 803 Dark Greens), a 3 Bar MAP Sensor to accurately read higher boost pressures and a stronger actuator to increase the boost pressure. An excellent ‘fast road’ conversion that has been tried and tested over the years and is refined to perfection! Runs a 25psi peak, 22psi held boost pressure on a standard T3 turbocharger.

The package includes the supply and fitment of:

  • 320bhp Evolution Chip
  • Bosch 803 Dark Green Fuel Injectors
  • A genuine Weber 3 bar map sensor SOLD OUT - Contact Us to discuss alternative options
  • A -31 Actuator
  • A Full Setup including. Fuel, Boost & Detonation check Under Load

For ultimate reliability, we recommend an aftermarket oil breather system is installed with this package. These systems can be installed from £300. Please contact us for further information.

340+bhp Package £650 inc. VAT & Fitting (Sierras With T34/ T35 Turbo Only)
For those of you who want to go further than the previously mentioned packages, it’s time to fit a larger turbocharger, in this case a T34.63 turbocharger (standard fitment on Large Turbo Escort Cosworth's). This will allow for a healthy increase in power allowing us to fit a set of larger fuel injectors (Bosch 803 Dark Greens), a 3 Bar MAP Sensor to accurately read higher boost pressures and a stronger actuator to increase the boost pressure. This package is a good all rounder! Runs a 28psi peak and 24psi held boost pressure on a T34.63 turbocharger.

The package includes the supply and fitment of:

  • 340+bhp Evolution Chip to suit your T34/ T35
  • Bosch 803 Dark Green Fuel Injectors
  • A genuine Weber 3 bar map sensor SOLD OUT - Contact Us to discuss alternative options

This package does put some extra strain on the engine and to ensure reliability we do recommend the head gasket is upgraded to a multi- layer item. An oil breather system and up rated intercooler is strongly recommended on this package as well.

380+bhp Package £750 inc. VAT & Fitting
For those of you with either a Large Turbo Escort Cosworth or a retro-fitted T34.63 turbocharger, this in our eyes is the ultimate fast road package! After hundreds of hours of development, the results are hard to believe considering they can be achieved on a standard engine! With the fitment of larger fuel injectors (Siemens 55lb Blacks), a 3 Bar MAP Sensor to accurately read higher boost pressures and a stronger actuator to increase the boost pressure. This package is a guaranteed smile raiser! Runs a 33psi peak boost pressure falling slowly through the rev range to your new 7600rpm rev limiter!

The package includes the supply and fitment of:

400+bhp Package £750 inc. VAT & Fitting
For those of you with Cams or ported heads we can offer a bespoke ECU Re calibration to take you up to in excess of 400 BHP and maybe up to 500 or more, depending on your engine specifications.

With the fitment of large fuel injectors (Siemens 55lb or 83lb Blacks), a 3 Bar MAP Sensor to accurately read higher boost pressures and a stronger actuator to increase the boost pressure. This package will be a guaranteed smile raiser! Most turbos usually run around 33psi peak boost pressure falling slowly through the rev range to a rev limiter to suit your spec, usually between 7800 and 8200rpm!

500 - 700 bhp Packages £P.O.A
The 500 BHP level and above requires personal consultation with the experts as it requires either internal engine modifications or very large turbochargers, either of which may not suit either your proposed budget or driving style. Please call and speak to one of our technicians to assess your options. For those of you with the hardware ready to go we already offer off the shelf ECU software ready to go for your L6, L8 or P8 ECU.

Closed Loop (CL)
Closed Loop Fuel Control can be added to any of our L8 chips and comes as standard with all our P8 chips.

Closed Loop uses a lambda sensor in the exhaust down pipe to provide information to the ECU to ensure that the fuelling is at its most efficient at idle and up to 4000rpm / 4psi of boost.

This has shown excellent fuel economy benefits and outstanding CO emissions. Save money on fuel and stress free MOT tests!

This excellent feature can be added to any L8 Chip above for only £100!

Anti Lag Strategy (ALS)
Anti Lag allows you to improve turbocharger response time by improving the speed of the turbine when the throttle is closed. this means that when you open the throttle your boost is back harder and faster. Positive pressure can be created with closed throttle on wilder setups! Rally car style pops, bangs and flames are an added bonus!

This feature can be added to your L8 & P8 Chip for only £350!

Flat Shift:
Do you have a gearbox that allows clutchless gear shifting?

If so, we have developed a feature for the L8 ECU that allows you to connect your gearbox to the ecu and program in the momentary lapse of power that is required for a clutchless shift.
