4WD Dyno Cell Construction Blog.
(Part 7... Finally - It is here!)

So, after what seemed like an eternity, dyno delivery day has arrived. Thankfully, we weren’t left waiting all day on pins, she arrived nice and early, and Mark Frisby from Dyno Dynamics was on site nice and early awaiting the delivery from Southampton docks ready for his big day installing it all.

I cant describe what an awesome feeling it was watching this roll up...

It was exciting to unpack it all...

With the help of a fork lift truck, we started moving it in...

And Mark got to work bolting it all down...

This motor drives the dyno bed so that we can adjust the axle base to suit different length cars.

Everyone chipped in and worked like dogs. My staff are all absolute stars. What an exciting day this was!

But eventually, long after dark... the final bolt went in and we started to try out all the wiring that had been in for ages. I was a bit nervous about this as if I had screwed up here, the job was about to stop dead! But it worked just fine, Mark is using my wireless keyboard here to extend the bed.

But will it run a car and record what we want? Will the extractors do the job? Its time to roll a car on and find out. Kennys M3 is nearest, so on she comes!

It al works absolutely fine. Its late now, gone midnight, so with us happy that everything is up and running as expected, we all retire home to bed very happy. What a day. A great day.
